10 reasons to get – and use – an ORCID iD

About this video

How unique is your name? Researchers work very hard to have their work recognized, but names are somewhat messy. An ORCID iD is a completely free unique recognizer that is used to attribute your research output and your affiliations, awards and grants to you. ORCID iD can be used in hundreds of platforms, including grant application and research management systems.

In this webinar, Alice Meadows, Director of Community Engagement and Support at ORCID iD takes us through the 10 main reasons to get yourself an ORCID iD and use it.

You’ll come away with a clear understanding of the value of having an ORCID iD and how you can start maintaining your own record – and using it to your benefit.
