Ylann Schemm explains the mission of the Elsevier Foundation to advance women, in developing countries, in science career and science endeavours, including research for SDGs. The advantage that the Foundation has is the opportunity to shape its activities based on the data from the analytical arm of Elsevier.  Both organisations have been constant supporters of the Gender Summit but also using this relationship to learn and act by creating several innovative ways of making difference by working in close cooperation with other organisations such as Organisation for Women in Science in the Developing World but also several others for which she provides examples..
