Doug started at Elsevier 8 years ago supporting reference management products in the North American Market.  He has transitioned into a global role on the Analytical Products team with a focus on Scopus and Scopus AI.   With years of experience bringing digital solutions to market, Doug specializes in communicating complex technology into narratives easily understood by users such as librarians, academic leaders and researchers.  His appreciation for the academic space started when he was teaching marketing and advertising at Montclair State University.   He holds an undergraduate degree in finance from Boston College and an MBA in IT / Marketing from Seton Hall University.

Predoctoral Researcher, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Barcelona

Elisenda Aguilera-Cora is a predoctoral researcher in the Department of Communication at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Barcelona. She holds a degree in Communication from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and a Master’s degree in Research in Social Communication from the UPF. She is a member of the Communication, Advertising and Society research group (CAS) and teaches in the Advertising and Public Relations and Audiovisual Communication degrees. Her doctoral thesis explores how place branding strategies in mountain areas are aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Before joining CAS, she gained experience as a researcher at a global consultancy, where she conducted research to support the development of sustainable cultural ecosystems
