Tracking journal performance with Scopus

Stephanie Faulkner has spent over 20 years in the information industry involved in the development, launch and support of numerous software-as-a-service tools and most recently PlumX Metrics, CiteScore and other indicators and classifications in Elsevier products.  In her current role, Stephanie is Director of Product Management, Research Indicators at Elsevier and an Advisory Board member of the International Center for the Study of Research.  She and works closely with academic institutions, researchers, funders, not-for-profit organizations, corporations and publishers to explore the development of new forms of metrics, indicators and classifications to support research evaluation.

Hans Zijlstra works as a Research Metrics Product Manager in Elsevier’s Research Products department in Amsterdam. He is responsible for developing journal and article metrics with the aim of improving Elsevier’s service to researchers, librarians, publishers and funders. 

Christopher Tancock has worked in STM publishing for the past 16 years. He joined Elsevier in 2006 where he initially worked on social science book projects before moving to journals. He has managed various portfolios as a journal publisher including linguistics, history, education, sociology and political science. He is now Editor-in-Chief of Elsevier's Editors', Authors' and Reviewers' Updates and works on related communications projects. Chris has degrees in European Studies and Linguistics from Royal Holloway and the University of Oxford respectively and is based in the Oxford office. In his spare time, he is a Community First Responder with the South Central Ambulance Service. Chris is founder of Pint of Life, an initiative which delivers free life-saving skills into the heart of his local community
