Raman Ganguly

Raman Ganguly is responsible for designing the technical infrastructures of the university data management ecosystem and the sustanible operation of technical infrastructure for longterm data preservation. He is also the technical director of Phaidra the digital asset management system for long-term preservation, developed by the University of Vienna and used by further 21 Institutions in 5 European Countries (https://phaidra.org/). As a specialist of digital infrastructures Raman was also part of European projects: OpenAIRE, Europeana Libraries. Currently, he is co-chairing the Research Data Management Group from COAR (Confederation of Open Access Repositories). He is a member of the task force RED (Researcher Engagement Development) form GÈANT and a co-chair of the RDA (Research Data Alliance) Interest-group Engaging Researcher with Data. At the University of Vienna, he is together with Susanne Blumesberger the initiator of the group Code4Research (software suitability in the research process).
