Christopher Tancock has worked in STM publishing for the past 16 years. He joined Elsevier in 2006 where he initially worked on social science book projects before moving to journals. He has managed various portfolios as a journal publisher including linguistics, history, education, sociology and political science. He is now Editor-in-Chief of Elsevier's Editors', Authors' and Reviewers' Updates and works on related communications projects. Chris has degrees in European studies and linguistics from Royal Holloway and the University of Oxford respectively and is based in the Oxford office. In his spare time, he is a Community First Responder with the South Central Ambulance Service. Chris is the founder of Pint of Life, a new initiative which delivers free life-saving skills into the heart of the local community.

Claudia Lupp

Claudia oversees Elsevier's editor engagement program aiming to improve training, development and support of the academic editorial community. Claudia started her publishing career in 2005 when she became the microbiology editor for Nature, and led the life sciences editorial team at Nature Communications from 2012 to 2014. She then moved to Elsevier to launch the open access journal Heliyon, and has been in her current role since 2018. Claudia holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering – Biotechnology from the University of Applied Sciences in Mannheim, Germany and a PhD in Cell & Molecular Biology from the University of Hawaii, USA and carried out postdoctoral research at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.

Danie is the publisher of 18 journals in the field of ecology broadly and has recently launched all-Open Access journals Climate Change Ecology, Nature-Based Solutions, and Environmental and Sustainability Indicators. She has been in the field of scholarly publishing since 2004, with previous positions as Acquisitions Editor for social science books. She is dedicated to identifying and understanding the changing needs of research communities, from research data management to advising societies on their journal development in a time of publication policy changes.

Ginny leads the orthopedics portfolio in the US, with 18 open access and subscription journals. She has over 25 years of experience in scholarly research publishing and educational product development, making an impact in the healthcare and life sciences fields at Wolters Kluwer, Mary Ann Liebert Publishers and Wiley-Blackwell. She has presented to author communities at medical institutions globally and has created new approaches to portfolio development, metrics, and author/editor training and tools, earning multiple awards for innovation.

Heather has worked in the publishing industry since 2008 across editorial, marketing, and sales, and since 2016 at Elsevier as publisher of a portfolio of a dozen cardiology and ophthalmology journals. In addition, Heather has represented Elsevier at industry events and institutional workshops across the U.S. as well as in a publishing roadshow at some of China’s top medical institutions. She has also consulted on strategy for a medical society in Kenya in 2019 through Elsevier Foundation’s Research without Borders Program.
