Patricia Robin McCartney, PhD, RN-C, FAAN, is the JOGNN Associate Editor and oversees the Health Care Improvement and Evaluation and Principles & Practice article categories. Dr. McCartney previously served as a JOGNN peer-reviewer and Editorial Advisory Board member. She has an extensive record of volunteer service to AWHONN and is a Professor Emerita of The State University of New York, University at Buffalo, School of Nursing. Many nurses know Dr. McCartney as the founder of the online Perinatal Nursing Discussion List in 1995. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing.
