Funding
Applying for a research grant can be a long and painful process and there are no guarantees it will end in success. The useful tips shared in our funding modules could prove just the boost you need to secure financial support.
You will learn how (and why) you should critically assess your research idea. We then walk you through points to consider when locating the right funding opportunity to match it. You will hear about some of the common mistakes researchers make when filling in their applications and how your network can help. And, we explain the power of metrics (particularly altmetrics) in helping funders picture your future potential.

How to integrate sex, gender, and intersectional analysis into research
In this module, experts will speak on how researchers can integrate sex, gender, and intersectional analysis into the design of their researchHow to enhance your chances of serendipitous research discovery
One should always look for ways to advance research evaluation strategies in all fields of knowledge production. Serendipitous research could prepare you for this. How to identify research gaps
Researching is an ongoing task, as it requires you to think of something nobody else has thought of before. This is where the research gap comes into play.Research data management
It’s an increasingly common condition of funding that the data associated with your work should be made available, accessible, discoverable, and usable.
Our series of data management modules contain all the information you need to help you comply with these requirements. You will also discover how sharing research data can help with reproducibility issues and provide your peers with existing work to build on.
The modules explain the solutions already in place to support you in sharing, and explore how you can cite data and why that can benefit your career. You will also be introduced to data management plans and receive advice on building an effective one.

Research collaborations are becoming increasingly common. Several research grants and career advancement opportunities are directly linked to research collaboration.
Collaborations in research come in many forms, including co-authorship, research network building, joint research, and research partnerships. Early career researchers, in particular, stand to gain a lot from collaborations, either by getting involved in existing research groups, or by looking for collaborators whose skills are complementary to theirs. In these modules, you will learn how (and why) to collaborate with industry, how international collaborations work, and how to create and sustain research collaborations over time.

Have you considered the importance of sex and gender in your research and how not incorporating it or using terminology incorrectly might influence your research results? Researcher Academy and GENDRO are proud to present this certified course on the Sex and Gender Equity in Research (SAGER) Guidelines, developed in partnership with EASE.
The course has been specifically designed to offer guidance on the SAGER Guidelines and recommendations on its implementation by journals, publishers and research organizations – or anyone that would like additional training to make research more gender sensitive and inclusive.
Our comprehensive course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills to implement the SAGER Guidelines in your research and publications. By taking the SAGER course, you will learn about the distinction between sex and gender, and intersectionality, and we will walk you through the SAGER Guidelines recommendations, and the author/editor checklist. You will also hear about the development of the SAGER Guidelines and examples of their implementation in various disciplines and organizations.
By the end of the course, you will have a deeper understanding of the importance of sex and gender in research, the application of the SAGER guidelines and advice on how to incorporate these into your work. You will receive a certification after successful completion of the course.
